The question of whether or not to allow retail marijuana in city limits will go to the voters.La Junta City Council Monday night voted 4-3 in favor of putting the question which will cover all marijuana-related matters including retail,www.coachoutletonlines.us.com, medicinal and cultivation on the November ballot. The motion was made by councilman Eugene Mestas and seconded by Councilwoman Jeffri Pruyn. Originally, the discussion centered around retail marijuana, but City Attorney Phil Malouff reminded the council of the many steps necessary in preparation for such a move and suggested changing the question to an all in, all out matter for marijuana, even though at least one council member, Mestas, is in favor of legalization of only medical marijuana.Several citizens appeared before the council. Mike Pruyn pointed out that marijuana is legal in the state and that each citizen is entitled to grow six plants. On the other hand, Councilwoman Betty Velasquez anticipated problems with regulating marijuana and keeping it away from children. Councilman Frank McKenzie said that the council, as an elected group,toryburchshoesoutlet.us.com, should handle the matter at the council and not put it to a general vote.
